Switzerland is my home, I grew up here, I live here and I am at home here. Years ago I only took the typical holiday photos during the holidays. With increasing interest in photography, I needed more subjects. Since I am primarily interested in taking pictures of landscapes and cities and I couldn’t go on vacation all the time, it made sense to look for interesting places in the area. Switzerland is a small country and offers a lot of variety in a small area. The paths are usually not far to the next lake for a sunset, a waterfall for long exposure or the next historic old town. The four languages in our country and the related linguistic and cultural differences offer an additional attraction and offer variety in a small space.
When I stand somewhere in the Swiss mountains on a sunny day with a few clouds in the sky and I see a blue-green mountain lake in front of me, snow-covered mountain peaks behind it and then a bright red train of the Rhaetian Railway goes around the corner, then this landscape is just brilliant and I am grateful to live here and to be able to photograph these scenery and save it as memory in my head.
