“To take pictures means to a certain balance between me and the subject. May it be with or without people, I shoot when i feel that I'm in the right moment. Either spontaneous on a concept or job I always figure out what the situation feels like and then try to show this in the images.”

It came quite natural to me that I started shooting portraits before even thinking about photographic theory or meanings. I could always read people quite well and understand their mood and feelings.
So taking a portrait is a mixture of me meeting the person, empathy and an unpredictable, poetic way chance to capture a soulful image. The people I photograph can be anyone.. random people in streets, friends or those who reach out for me to photograph them. The situation of portraying always was an excitement to me and still is.
It’s just magical that something as simple as two people and a camera can create on single image that has a whole story to tell.
