Without photography as a passion since 5 years I wouldn’t know the people and have all the beautiful memories I have nowadays. That’s why…

“The core meaning of photography in my opinion is to connect with other people and create moments that'll probably last forever, even if they're not captured by a camera.”

Everything began when some random guy asked me if I want to join a group of photographers in Leipzig, Germany. Some months later we made our first trip together to South Tyrol and I was amazed by the breathtaking landscapes. Since then photography together with traveling became a really integrated part of my life and took me to beautiful places like Iceland, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Saxony Switzerland, Ore Mountains, Thuringia forest, Harz Mountains and many more.

Love goes out to all the people I have ever traveled with and hope that these made friendships and passion will last a whole life.

Sheep, Sheep and… Sheep

Story about the trip to the Ilse of Skye – Scotland

In the beginning of April in 2019 I traveled together with 7 friends to Scotland. From Edinburgh we took a 4 or 5 hour drive to our vacation home at the Isle of Skye, which is an island of the inner Hebrides. Who ever traveled to the UK knows, that the weather can change really fast within a minute from a sunny day into heavy rain and we were confronted with this situation as we visited the Neist Point Lighthouse when suddenly a big dark cloudy front showed up. But luckily our cars weren’t  that far away. Because driving on the right side of the car wasn’t unusual enough, there are mostly single lane roads at the Isle of Skye. Beside the roads and nearly everywhere we saw a lot of sheep grazing and enjoying their lifetime. That’s the reason why I think there are more sheep then people on this island haha.

My absolutely favorite moment was the day when we took an evening walk to the Claigan Coral Beach after the weather cleared up and a guided tour through Talisker Whisky distillery. At the peak of this beach was a small hill we walked up. Arrived at the top the wind blew so strong you could let yourself fall into it. Combined with the clear blue water, the sunset and view to the beach, this moment still lasts in my memories and makes me happy.
